Exam material:
The exam will contain questions about the topics covered in the lectures and reading material (see Schedule which parts of the book are included).
ANS:
The exam will be taken in digital format, using the ANS system.
Make sure you try to login to ANS before the exam, and remember your password by heart (you are not allowed to use your phone at the exam).
2-factor authentication is by definition switched off for ANS (you don't need a phone to login).
Practice exam
A practice exam is available through ANS.
Make sure to test it out at home, so you also already familiar with the digital exam format.
Identification: LU-card & ID-card
Make sure you bring you personal ID and university LU-card, since they will be checked by the surveillors.
What you can and cannot bring:
Closed-book: You cannot use any support material during the exam, i.e., no books, phones, scientific calculators, etc.
Pocket calculator: ANS has a build-in pocket calculator. If you want to, you are allowed to bring your own pocket calculator (only addition and multiplication). (Again: no phones, no scientific calculator.)
Pen & scratch paper: ANS has build-in scratch paper. You will also get a piece of physical scratch paper during the exam, which you need to hand-in again when you leave the hall. Please bring a pen or pencil yourself.
Arriving & bathroom & leaving:
Arrive early: Make sure you arrive at least 15 min before the start of the exam.
Bathroom: If you need to go to the bathroom, raise your hand.
You can't have a phone or any other communication device on you (they have to stay in your closed bag).
The invigilator will guide you to the bathrooms. In the bathroom, you can't talk to other students about any exam content.
Being late and leaving: If you are late you can still enter within the first 45 minutes (without getting additional time). You can therefore also only leave or go to the bathroom after the first 45 min.
No phones and communication:
You can't use any form of communication with others during the exam. All phones need to go in your bag at the start and stay there for the entire exam.
You also can't talk to other students or communicate answers in any other way.
If you violate these rules your exam directly becomes invalid and your case will be forwarded to the exam committee.
Short checklist:
Remember your ANS login
Bring 1) your LU-card and ID-card/passport (with photo) 2) a pen and optionally 3) a pocket calculator.
